Trials Underway
An important learning method in the uptake of PA adoption is to trial the technology yourself.
Working with Farming Systems Groups, we organised a number of crop walks mid-season to view these trials, witheach region identifying its own local issue..
Results from Year 1 are currently being completed. To view the results, click on the trial within the region.
*Please note, these reports are currently being reviewed and are in DRAFT phase. Not all reports are available, and will be continuously uploaded. Due to the difficult harvest, many trial reports provide limited results.
Interested in doing a trial? Download a copy of the trials protocol and start seeing the effects of PA on your farm.

SPAA is keen to collect information on your PA adoption use. Information collected in this important survey will assist us in tailoring training activities for your region. It's quick and simple and won't take up too much of your time. Download it now!
Have we seen you at our Workshops?
SPAA has provided information on setting up your header to collect yield maps this harvest and getting VR ready.
We covered topics including;
- Data card management
- Paddock descriptors
- Sensors (flow and moisture)
- Calibration
- GPS signals
- Cleaning maps
- Developing prescription maps
- Uploading to your controller
Thanks to all the farmers who bought their machines along to the workshops. So far we've impacted over 200 landholders with first hand view of where to look for sensors and switches to look out for in setting up our machines.
Thanks also to John Deere, Case IH and New Holland for providing technical expertise at these workshops.
Training for Graingrowers now in 3 states
