Rationale

SPAA committee wishes to propose the following changes to the current constitution. That being;
- that Association name be amended to SPAA Precision Agriculture Australia Inc.
- that the number of committee members be increase to up to twelve (12) members.

The addition of the word Australia aimsto reflect the organisational positioning & expansion to deliver extension in the area of Precision Agriculture across Australia and across numerous agricultural industries. Increasing our audience capture and representation across industries will provide numerous benefits for the organisations and offer greater services to members in the delivery of precision agriculture communiqué across Australia. It also offers greater opportunities to learn from other industries and provide representation and advocacy for precision agriculture on a national and international level rather than a site specific region.

As a result of this organisational expansion, the committee feel that increasing the positions available on the committee provides opportunity for the greater representations geographically and across such industries.

Minimal fees and costs to alter the association name would present, and the association would be registered as a SA business with a national presence. Badging of the organisation would require logo alterations, clothing and business cards (the latter two which have not occurred over the past 12 months to deplete existing stocks. The SPAA acronym would remain unchanged as it is a recognisable brand to the association, with only the wording being altered. Currently, SPAA has no registered trademarks.
